Cognizant’s Energy and Utilities consulting practice serves Energy and Utilities companies with a wide array of strategic consulting and business process services solutions, supported by validated IT frameworks and accelerators. We have 300+ domain consultants across the E&U value chain. Key Utility Focus Areas include Asset and Work Management, Customer Solutions, Digital, Smart Grid and Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM).
Cognizant works with 4 of the top 10 global Oil and Gas firms and with leading investor owned utilities and retailers across the globe. We have a strong focus on ETRM area and are working on strategic initiatives to implement ETRM solutions. This area is a fast-growing area for Cognizant and there is executive focus to continuously improve our offerings and capabilities.
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
- Lead key transformation initiatives along with key client management and provide water utilities business consultancy/expertise in preparing roadmap and program execution.
- Leading communication with multiple partners, weekly project status reporting, issues, risk and challenges and coordination for timely resolution.
- Help to build out our West Coast practice – through identifying new opportunities and logos.
- Work with Business and technology executives to ensure system/process changes are in place as per the requirements.
- Liaise with vendor/technical support team if product/application specific issues are encountered.
- Business Process documentation.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 15 years of consulting and transformation experience in the North American Energy & Utility industry with a focus on Grid.
- Proven experience managing teams and building collaborative relationships with external and internal partners,
- Have the ability to position industry insights as they pertain to client needs & requirements,
- Experience building deep client relationships and identifying client’s priority needs for service and support,
- Provide leadership and direction on one or more projects while maintaining a high quality level of service.
- Experience developing, pursuing, and closing consulting opportunities.
- Experience with and understanding of the off-shore delivery model.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).

Qualification: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or other relevant field (Required)
- Advanced Degree in Business (Preferred).
