Job description: Summary: Support the Senior Manager Transportation HSE and associated team members to ensure effective communication of HSE-related goals, objectives, needs, and accomplishments. This position will also qualify new driver applicants, train new hires in applicable HSE systems, schedule meetings, and collect and monitor pertinent HSE-related data for dissemination to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct all activities in accordance with Maersk Core Values.
  • Review and approve driver applicant’s documentation to ensure each meet established minimum qualification criteria and ensure ongoing compliance needs are effectively communicated and tracked to completion.
  • Maintain data bases that capture company DOT accident register, roadside violation data, injuries, award and recognition, training/re-training, and other exposures/risk metrics as determined by management.
  • Become a subject matter expert regarding HSE systems in use and monitoring of same.
  • Use applicable data to develop and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and distribute HSE presentations for use with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a desktop turnover binder for all assigned activities.
  • Ensuring all drivers meet/maintain DOT/Company compliance regarding minimum standards.
  • Acting upon driver applicant files within 24-hours of file being placed in processing status.
  • Timely communication of compliance-related data
  • Maintaining a turnover binder covering all assigned tasks/duties: who, what, when, how, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:

$24-$25 hourly*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years HSE and / or Transportation Logistics Operations experience preferred.
  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Strong candidates present a “can do” attitude, understand the value of working as a team, and can demonstrate the ability to adapt and overcome obstacles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with basic computer and online programs.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in response to the needs of the business.
