Our Financial Service Consultants (FSC) not only assist our members with their financial needs, but they also help by educating the members on beneficial products and services that will best support their financial backgrounds. As an FSC you will handle in-person requests from our members including transaction processing, account updates, new account openings, as well as, cross-selling the appropriate credit union products and services, while consistently meeting the service standards established by the Credit Union. We are currently hiring for a Financial Service Consultant for our California St., Mint Plaza, and Stonestown Branch(s).
What You’ll Be Doing (ie. Job Duties)
- Maintain the Credit Union’s tradition of excellence by taking ownership of member issues, seeking solutions first, and being accountable
- Open various types of accounts including checking, savings, CD’s and IRAs
- Operate assigned cash can and teller’s sub-vault within established guidelines
- Create temporary checks for members as required
- Assist members with debit card re-pinning and ATM machine usage
- Act as vault teller as required
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services
- Complete training programs in accordance with your personal development plan
- Contribute to a team environment by showing respect and support for each other, practicing positive and respectful workplace communication techniques, and by living up to your commitments
What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements)
- High school diploma or GED plus at least 1 year of related experience
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Experience with MS Windows and MS Office
- Must be available for Saturday shift
- Cash handling experience in a bank or financial institution is preferred
- Days/Hours: Varies
