Job description: Abacus Technology is seeking a Telecommunications Lead to oversee a team providing inside and outside plant support for Fort Campbell. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of inside plant and outside plant technicians to install, operate, and maintain the copper, fiber, and coaxial infrastructure.
- Design and document new and/or updated inside and outside plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber and all associated elements using commercial best practice procedures, standards and/or provide Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) required for installation of outside plant cables and underground infrastructure.
Qualifications
5+ years experience in telecommunications infrastructure, facility design, and installation, including at least three years in a supervisory or lead position. Must be well versed in BICSI rules, regulations, and standards. Must have experience developing layout and design for technology systems including voice, data, and structured cabling. Experience developing layout and design for outside plant infrastructure systems. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards and practices regarding the installation and maintenance of outside plant infrastructure. Solid knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, low voltage and telecommunications systems. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
