Job Summary
Ensures the delivery of quality telecommunications design, installation, service and maintenance. Directs Analyst I staff in efficient daily workflow. Responsible for the day to day maintenance of adds, moves and changes in the PBX. Provides a cohesive cabling plan for voice communications for all departments at the University of Louisville Hospital and the UofL Healthcare Outpatient Center. Acts as a system administrator for various telecommunication systems. Maintains the intercom and overhead paging system. Coordinates the installation of cable required for all new cable TV installations. Distributes and programs hospital issued cell phones, PDA phones and wireless aircards. Demonstrates commitment to the hospitals philosophy, goals and objectives. Oversees staff of Telecommunications Coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Must possess in-depth experience in the design, configuration, long-term planning, operational support, and project management of large telecommunication systems and associated data networks.
- Advanced experience supporting unified collaboration tooling preferred.
- Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates competency
- 5 years functional experience in supporting Voice Operations and/or Voice Engineering
