Job Description
Crown is seeking a Technician I to support the Test & Evaluation team with Verizon. The candidate will primarily be responsible for working independently providing critical electrical/mechanical/fabrication expertise in support of maintaining customer facility infrastructure and constructing devices per standard engineering drawings.
This position supports work to plan, establish and conduct laboratory testing of telecommunications equipment, software and procedures as well as prepare supporting documentation. Experience with up-to-date telecommunications systems is required and FAA telecommunications systems is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Install FENS server hardware and software applications within the testbeds to support T&E including safety critical functionality and security framework
- Conduct system configuration and operations activities of FENS servers, network devices, virtualized operating systems and applications
- Participate in site survey activities, documenting findings, and assist District Area Manager with scheduling equipment pre-installation, maintenance, repair and removal activities
- Conduct equipment pre-installation testing, generate installation documentation, and conduct post-installation procedures
- Coordinate with vendors and clients to minimize downtime and interface with clients, technical support personnel, and other technical professionals to ensure efficient and effective service
- Monitors the progress of each activity and provides status updates as required
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must be able to obtain Public Trust.
- High school diploma is required
- Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred
- Must have 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of T&E processes and troubleshooting methodologies; ability to analyze operational scenarios situations and recommend solutions, as required
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Ability to analyze a process and provide improvement recommendations
- Knowledge of database and SQL environments
