Title: Senior Operations Manager, Local Planning.
Locations Available: Spanaway, WA – Missoula, MT – Charlotte, NC
What Will You Do?
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Operations Manager to join our team. In this role you will oversee all aspects of transportation planning, including route optimization, driver management, freight management, and cost analysis. The Senior Manager will focus on the planning of the local network for Ashley Pacific Northwest, which consists of roughly 140 drivers. The modes of transportation that this role will oversee include local, dedicated, and drayage operations. The Operations Manager will provide leadership for four transportation planners.
What Do You Need?
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
In-depth knowledge of transportation planning methodologies, carrier selection, routing optimization, and freight management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret transportation data and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in transportation management software and systems. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety practices, and environmental sustainability in the transportation industry.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Annual Salary $84,800 – $100,000. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Profit sharing is available to eligible employees; this discretionary program is dependent on the profitability of the company.
Benefits: When you join our family, you are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits programs which includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life/Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), Paid Holidays, 80 hours paid vacation and accrual Washington paid sick leave 1 hour for every 40 hours worked up to 52 hours.
