Job description: Specialty1 Partners is looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our IT department. You will be responsible for managing our server and network infrastructures. Some responsibilities include monitoring system performance and configuring new software and hardware, as well as providing support to end-users. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with a variety of on-premises solutions and best-of-breed cloud-based platforms (IaaS, SaaS, MDREDR, etc). Ultimately, you will ensure our software, hardware, servers, and networks run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting existing IT infrastructure and networking to identify problems, recommend and implement solutions
- Design, support, and implement UCM strategy for corporate and affiliates
- Manage O365 email and security in the Exchange & Azure environment
- Manage and help identify best cloud storage processes and rules
- Provide design for network, server, physical and security infrastructure
- Implement IT architecture based on provided designs (utilizing a variety of IT infrastructure vendors and platforms)
- Configure and manage IT infrastructure, including switches, routers and firewalls, as well as SAN and Cloud storage
- Support and manage firewalls, including rules, VPN tunnels, client VPN
- Work at maintaining secure and efficient workstation/laptop images for end users
- Identify and verify that IT best practices are implemented
- Lead resources for infrastructure maintenance events
- Contribute to the vision for the team and the platform as technical leader, identifying new and strategic technologies that improve security, scalability, reliability, and performance
- Design, build and support automated processes, continuous deployment that help our teammates work more effectively
- Travel on-site to new locations to assess, recommend, and install needed equipment and current inventory
Requirements
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Team management abilities
- BSc in Computer Science or similar field
- Equivalent work experience in end user and system security
- Extensive understanding of wireless networking technologies
- Ability to travel
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
