Job description: The Senior Buyer job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead strategic sourcing for transport and logistic commodities such as inbound transportation
- Manage tender strategy and planning utilizing collaborative project management with internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts which drive productivity and quality
- Drive analysis and scenario strategy
- Active role in negotiation guide preparation and negotiation with suppliers
- Crisis management
- Generate market intelligence and analysis to anticipate and mitigate supply risks in the medium/long term
- Manage and develop strategic and operational level relationship with major and strategic suppliers to achieve expected productivity and quality
- Develop ideas to improve operational efficiency and add value
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Engineering or closely related field from an ABET accredited university
- 5+ years of work experience in related fields
- Purchasing negotiation skills
- Project coordination & management
- Strong level in performing quantitative analysis
- Mandatory English Listening
- Impactful communication & collaboration with ability to simplify message
- Organized & rigorous, proactive & adaptable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Transport & Logistics or Supply Chain
- Strong experience in Purchasing and project management
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Engineering or related fields (preferred)
- Some experience in Premium Transportation Management
