Job description: What We’re Looking For
Coordinates and implements public involvement programs for clients to facilitate communication and acceptance of projects and initiatives.
For current or previous HNTB interns ONLY.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
2 years relevant experience
Good communication skills, particularly in terms of writing
Basic graphic design skills
Social media skills
Current or previous HNTB intern
What You’ll Need
Essential Responsibilities:
Assists in research projects relative to environmental impact evaluations.
Conducts routine investigations and collect data needed for environmental impact evaluations.
Prepares and coordinates dissemination of community relations materials, facts and information about client activities to external agencies, associations, and news organizations using print, periodicals, radio and/or visual communication media.
Completes routine records and reports related to public involvement meetings and public hearings.
Helps coordinate community meetings including scheduling, determining location, and ensuring proper setup and materials are present.
May interact with clients to coordinate implementation of communication programs.
Drafts speeches, create and design presentation materials, and/or compose correspondence for use in mailings and/or meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism or relevant field
