Job description: About the role:

Our client, a global Telecommunications company located in the Blue Lagoon area is currently searching for a Pre-Sales Engineer to work with the Deal Delivery Office. The Deal Delivery Office (DDO) is responsible for providing the costs for several service elements needed to produce offers to our clients Corporate and Multinationals Customers. The team must ensure that the most competitive costs are gathered on a timely manner and that relationships with both internal and external providers are solid and efficient. The Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing external and internal providers that can contribute with an effective technical solution and competitive costs to build a Proposal for MNC customer. Solutions involve WAN connectivity, P2P, DIA, IP, Colo and others.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing vendor relationship at all levels, especially during pre-sales phase.
  • Engaging external and internal providers to gather costs in a timely and competitive way.
  • Ensuring that the technical requirements of any opportunity are well understood by the providers, and the response and proposals are accurate and arrive on a timely manner.
  • Keeping updated relationships with our suppliers (on-net, off-net and collaborative partners) in terms of contact matrix, product and services portfolio, competitive price, etc. Provide feedback on Vendor’s performance in terms of time frames, pricing, performance.
  • Identify new providers that could fill in gaps in current coverage for products and services, and price competitiveness.
  • Work closely with the Account Team (Sales, Pre-sales, PM, SM) to contribute in building communication solutions for our customers, as the responsible for the B-End Engineering of the solution:
  • Assessing the Quotation Request to fully understand the requirements (technical & operational) and decide what suppliers need to be involved / contacted.
  • Negotiate special terms and conditions with providers based on the commercial and financial needs.
  • Provide aggressive costs on time. Assume risks and make decisions on the selection of providers, technology and topologies.
  • Provide expert consultation on market pricing, conditions (taxes, regulation, etc.), vendors, products.
  • Engagement with other areas of the company to solve issues of complex/non-standard projects, contract negotiation, purchasing, billing, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering/marketing/carrier relations role for a telecommunications company.
  • Be fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Possess strong knowledge in telecommunications services (esecially Ethernet, IP, DIA, Broadband, Routers, Colo, and Cloud).
  • Have excellent negotiation skills.

Expected salary: $60000 per year
