The Role:

We are looking for a Logistics Specialist in Jacksonville, Florida who will plan, direct, and coordinate the transportation, storage, or distribution of LNG as well as equipment movements. The Logistics Specialist will assist with the development of logistics budgets, forecast estimates, and cost trend and deviation tracking. The Logistics Specialist will also perform multi-leg shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods.

What You’ll Do:

  • Source and procure chartering services, including the vetting and qualification of logistics service providers, preparation of bid tabs, commitment authorizations, and contract documents.
  • Review, record, and enter shipping, receiving, and transfer data to account for material and financial records.
  • Develop, implement, and audit logistics processes.
  • Enter accounting, cost, and inventory management attributes associated with material movements, fabrications, audits, and divestments into the appropriate tracking system.
  • Receive, create, execute, and post all Transfer of Ownership Form requests from suppliers, vendors, or customers in the system of record or work with accounting to execute Journal Entries.
  • Review Logistics service provider method statements and bill of ladings, notate any discrepancies, and propose actions to minimize any deviation.
  • Request required documentation from the 3rd Party yards with regards to preparing & furnishing required documentation
  • Coordinate physical inventory at 3rd Party storage locations.
  • Identify variances in count, traceability, or quality and make adjustments in the system of record.
  • Address issues regarding outstanding material movements, timely delivery of needed material movement documentation, accuracy of documentation, inventory variance, and invoice processing.
  • Keep all required records according to the document control policy.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma, or GED required.
  • Some college courses or equivalent continued education preferred.
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years of logistics experience required.
  • Previous experience in LNG, petroleum, chemical, or another similar industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of importing and exporting formalities and processes, domestic and international trade and delivery terms, industry packing, marking, and shipping requirements, and marine cargo chartering is preferred.
  • Computer skills with experience in Excel required.
