Responsibilities
- Schedule all shipments based on finished goods inventory, forecasts, and projected demand.
- Audit and disposition on finished goods overages, and logistics related activities.
- Complete all required paperwork to accompany the shipment and for internal purposes.
- Work with the loaders when questions or issues arise to resolve
- Communicate with freight carriers/companies to ensure all loads are picked up on time. Develop strategic relationships with carriers.
- Communicate and work with the Account Management and commercial teams to help support customer requirements.
- Work in collaboration with other Shipping Schedulers, Logistics supervisor, and logistics leaders to support all freight activity.
- MFGPRO system and TMS to complete job functions
- Create packing lists and tally sheets grouping & allocating material together for truckload shipments and bill of ladings
- Support in load tendering and load coverage & dispatch activities. Also support in managing key performance indicators and shipping metrics.
- Complete invoicing processes & inventory transfer process
- Plan scrap shipments
- Explore new methods of transporting material from suppliers and to customers
- Ensure all carrier documentation is valid and on file
- Partner with production and operations to ensure shipments are moved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Other duties as assigned
- This position functions in an office as well as plant floor environment. It requires the ability to maneuver safely around mobile equipment and heavy machinery as well as to utilize standard office machinery.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years customer service experience.
- Manufacturing system and Transportation Management Systems experience preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Digital literacy (SAP, Oracle, MS Office, Spreadsheet, other ERP) experience;
- Proven track record to optimally handle stressful or conflict situations/interactions with internal and external customers
- Ability to manage time with minimal direction and to balance multiple projects.
- Customer focused & people oriented
- Must be diligent, flexible to change, and able to work in fast paced environment.
