Job Description and Requirements
Under general supervision, the IT Technical Support Analyst installs, relocates, troubleshoots, repairs, performs diagnostic tests and preventative maintenance on personal computer workstations and peripherals; determines hardware requirements and needs; tests and evaluates hardware and software for efficiency; and performs related duties as required. Completes roll-outs of hardware and is the second level of support for the Service Desk Analysts. Will escalate issues to appropriate teams when unable to correct an issue in a timely manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots to determine the exact cause of network or telecommunication problems and repairs personal computers and peripherals;
Performs diagnostic tests on personal computers, network connectivity and application software;
Image, install or relocate computer workstations and peripherals;
Assists users on direction for software requirements and needs;
Responsible to build/maintain proper process documentation;
Must have essential understanding of network protocols;
Responsible for maintaining skills set and for the latest technology as it applies to position;
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and to establish/maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union employees and the general public;
Plan, coordinate and prioritize work with excellent organizational skills, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
Required strong technical skills;

Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field, and two years computer network experience; OR successful completion of a relevant program from an accredited technical school and two years computer network or troubleshooting experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of software packages and operating systems;
Support end users with commercial software packages and vendor specific hardware;
Troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, install and repairs of software and peripherals;
Skilled in logical problem solving;
Skills, Certifications, and Licensing:
Valid drivers license and insurance;
A+ or Network + certification a must.
