GENERAL – PLANT PRODUCTION PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general labor tasks in a 24/7 plant environment – will require ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, and carry items in excess of 50 lbs
- Perform routine and repetitive tasks to maintain plant operational efficiency
- Keep accurate and legible records
- Adhere to all SOP’s and HACCP guidelines
Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately.
GENERAL – PLANT PRODUCTION QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to learn and operate using good manufacturing practices
- Ability to operate equipment and multitask
- Perform repetitive tasks and functions throughout the day in an urgent, but safe, manner
- Ability to work within changing deadlines
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts
- Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends
- Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Ability to multitask efficiently to meet tight deadlines
Experience:
- Previous experience in a general labor, plant worker, construction, manufacturing, food production, or maintenance role preferred but NOT required
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires ability to safely operate equipment.
- Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
- Requires ability to hear and speak.
- Requires ability to walk and stand for 12 or more hours at a time.
- Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items in excess of 50lbs often.
- Requires ability to push and pull items frequently in excess of 50lbs.
- Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights including floors of 100ft or more.
- Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
- Requires ability to hear and speak and frequently hear and speak in very noisy environments.
- Requires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditions.
- Requires ability to work in confined spaces frequently.
- Requires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals.
