Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a Director Engineering 1 – Catalina Electronics IPT Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
As the Director you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Electronics development, manufacturing, assembly, test and delivery. You will be accountable for the technical performance, staffing, and management of cost, schedule, and quality. Strong communication, collaboration, leadership and team building skills are essential. This role will report functionally to the Director of the Electronics & Payloads Directorate within SSSD Engineering and programmatically to the Catalina Program Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in hardware development and/or delivery
Ten (10) years of experience in project or program management, leading people, projects, or programs across diverse technical teams.
Demonstrated understanding of flight hardware lifecycle and ability to lead complex design efforts and/or transition designs into production
Active Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance and ability to receive program clearance
Demonstrated experience as CAM with EVMS responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Fifteen (15) years of experience in project or program management, leading people, projects, or programs across diverse technical teams.
Experience in fast paced hardware development and flight build
Excellent written and verbal communication ability to all levels of the organization and outside stakeholders
Experience with complex control loop, digital signal processing and /or FPGA design.
Experience delivering Class A flight hardware
Experience across all phases of program lifecycle
Experience managing supply chains with a mix of procurement and subcontracts
Salary Range: $180,200.00 – $270,200.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
