What You Will Do:

  • Ensure company DOT compliance
  • Lead fleet acquisition design and right-sizing to ensure an optimized fleet.
  • Plans, organizes and manages subordinate staff to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company’s goals and KPI’s.
  • Leverage transportation tools and processes (Innovo route, Lytx cameras, post-route analysis, etc.) to optimize the network.
  • Timely communication with Sales and customers on transportation performance and resolving customer complaints.
  • Ensure Transportation SOPs are in place to meet both Service and Cost objectives.
  • KPI tracking and action plan execution.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business management, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Prior or current CDL license a plus
  • At least 2 years experience as a transportation manager in a similar industry
  • Industry Certifications, CTP, CDS (Transportation), or CSP a plus
  • Solid knowledge of transportation industry and logistics
  • Experience working with DOT compliance
  • Prior experience managing a team of Drivers
  • Critical thinking skills and knowledge of analytics
  • Excellent leadership skills and a high level of organization

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • This position is exempt and is ineligible for overtime.
  • Heavy phone and computer use
  • Office environment, mainly seated at a desk, some lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent computer, phone, and scanner usage
  • Usual 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday; however based on business needs, evenings and weekend hours may occasionally be required
  • Requires regular and reliable on-site attendance in Auburn, WA
