The Role
Are you an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager looking to take the next step in your career? Do you possess a Property & Casualty license? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are a Property and Casualty agency based in Scranton, looking to appoint a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. Due to retirement, we need an experienced individual to handle large commercial line accounts on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Commercial Lines Account Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Day to day servicing of accounts
- Building strong working relationships with clients, sales team, and insurance carriers
- Position requires in-office presence.

Dating back to 1963, our agency built its reputation on establishing long term relationships with its clients by providing quality insurance and risk management solutions aimed at reducing their total cost of risk. The foundation of our agency is built on our ethics and integrity, our knowledgeable and professional staff and our insurance carrier relationships.
The origins of the company date back over 75 years, but it officially became Knowles Associates in 1963. Starting in the early 40’s, James J Knowles, Sr. worked as the manager for the Fitzsimmons Insurance Agency. His eldest son, Jim, joined the company in 1946 and his second son, Bob, followed in 1949. However, it wasn’t until 1963 that ownership transferred and the company became Knowles Associates. In 1968, after the passing of James Knowles, Sr., Jim and Bob Knowles formed a partnership that continued until 1982. After working for Hartford Insurance Group, Robert J. Knowles, Jr. joined Knowles Associates in 1983. He purchased the agency in 1988 and is presently the agency’s principal.
