We are seeking a motivated, self-directed, and financially astute individual to get involved in a wide range of financial, administrative, and accounting responsibilities.
We are seeking a CNC Manufacturing & Quality Engineer to have visibility over internally machined quality issues found in the NCR process and who will be responsible for relaying feedback to the Machine Shop and Operations. This position will also be responsible for Machine Shop documentation and process improvement.
CNC Manufacturing & Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Machine Shop documentation and process improvement within the Machine Shop
- Document all machining processes for repeatability and accountability
- Apply knowledge of mechanical machining principals, quality concepts and interpretation of customer or Air Squared standards in determining causes for non-conforming parts
- Ensure feedback on internal machined quality issues is reported to the Machine Shop and Operations in a timely manner
- Trace and investigate machining issues that result in scrap to support Quality, Machine Shop and Operations in resolving the issue
- Take existing products facing reliability, cost, manufacturability, quality, or performance limitations, and further developing the process to meet specific standards
- Create new processes to further support the quality and reliability of the product
- Analyze production process as a whole to identify bottlenecks and problem areas
- Work closely with quality to write and implement corrective actions
- Create documentation for processes conforming to ISO 9001 standard
- Train Machine Shop employees on new and existing processes Work closely with the Machine Shop Supervisor to give input on scheduling and coordination of projects
- Diagnose, repair, or rebuild Machine Shop equipment as needed
- Statistical analysis and data management
- Perform physical analysis methods
- Project management as needed
- Perform other tasks as assigned
CNC Manufacturing & Quality Engineer Qualifications:
- MUST SUBMIT RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineer or equivalent experience (required)
- 5- year minimum experience as an Engineer in Manufacturing or Quality environment (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high tolerance machine shop or production machining environment (preferred)
- Experience with Mastercam or other CAM packages (preferred)
- Experience in Solid Works and FEA (preferred)
- Test equipment and data acquisition software (LabView preferred)
- Experience in an ISO9001 certified facility (preferred)
- Experience with manual inspection/measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges (required)
- GD&T training and/or certification (preferred)
- Employment with Air Squared is contingent on passing a statewide background check, drug screening (for substances illegal in the state of Colorado), and employment verification through E-Verify
