Job description: Role and Responsibilities
- Planning and Reporting – Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, explain results and variances, track against targets and ensure profitability goals are achieved; support broader BB finance team and CFO
- Support business case development across investments – business initiatives and technology investments
+ Build rigorous, driver-based financial projections to articulate the value of the business / technology proposal
+ Ensure consistent application of assumptions and methodology
- Own strategic initiatives for Business Banking, consolidation into budgets and regular tracking
+ Partner with senior management, other finance and functional teams to lead and / or support strategic business projects to help achieve business goals
- Drive integration of client and product profitability into business decision making, such as product simplification and sales strategy
+ Join financial and business data to segment results for further insights into customer behaviors
- Business Support – Support executive leadership teams with internal presentations and business reviews, ad-hoc business projects with direct access to client-level data
+ Analyze client and product acquisition and attrition trends and identify indications of change in behavior
+ Drive the build out and adoption of dashboarding of key business metrics with consistent data sourcing where possible
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based approach
- Excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills, confidence with finance and accounting concepts
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate relevant issues to senior management
- Strong technical skills – Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Essbase, PitchPro); proven track record of partnering with data scientists to deliver analytical insights
- Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role, seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements; work with team members within and outside the US
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, client profitability analytics, pricing strategy
