The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Assistant Examiner of Seized Property for the Seized Property Unit. The successful candidates will be accountable for auditing court and law enforcement records, inspecting evidence storage facilities and disposing of property seized in criminal proceedings in an assigned area in accordance with statutory requirements.
Salary Range: $71,762 – $94,045/year – plus State of Connecticut benefits.
New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
General Experience: Five (5) years of experience in accounting, auditing, material storage management, investigatory work in a regulatory enforcement agency or a related field.
Substitutions Allowed: College training in a related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor’s degree.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Incumbents may be required to lift moderate to heavy weights; may be required to handle dangerous property items.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
1) Candidates must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a motor vehicle available for daily use.
2) A background investigation will be conducted for all candidates.
